OPHTHALMIC OPERATIONS
- Vitrectomy to treat:
- haemorrhage into the vitreous,
- macular hole - inverted flap technique developed by Professor Jerzy Nawrocki, giving better results than conventional techniques (also in the case of very large macula holes and high myopia cases),
- non-full-thickness macular holes,
- vitreoretinal traction syndrome,
- complications of diabetes - diabetic macular oedema,
- blood clots - macular oedema,
- macular pucker
- malpositioned or dislocated lenses - a full range of services,
- injuries and post-traumatic conditions,
- all other treatments of the lens and retina.
Surgical operations and treatments
- surgical treatment of cataract phacoemulsification,
- anti-glaucoma treatments,
- eyelid operations (e.g. entropion, ectropion, removal of tumours with histology, ptosis) - all treatments are performed via an operating microscope, using the latest techniques,
- pterygium operations - the modern PERFECT method (autologous conjunctival) ensures no recurrence and excellent aesthetic effect, also in the case of previous multiple operations.
Intravitreal Injections
- injections to treat age related macular degeneration (AMD) - full range of drugs (anti-VEGF therapy, triamcinolone, Ozurdex, Eyelea); therapy individualized to the patient's needs,
- injections to treat macular oedema due to: diabetes, blood clot, the state of the uveal inflammation, Irvine-Gass syndrome (condition after cataract surgery) - the full range of drugs (anti-VEGF therapy, triamcinolone, Ozurdex, Eyelea); conduct therapy individualized to the patient's needs.
Laser treatments
- retinal laser coagulation (retinal tear, diabetes, blood clots)
- YAG - capsulotomy (intersection of the lens capsule in case of haze after cataract surgery),
- YAG - Iridectomy (anti-glaucoma treatment).
